Lombok

Yay. Here we go again. After having a rough time preparing my test in module Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics, I think I should write somethin here. I've just remember about my last holiday in Lombok. For some reasons, my native teacher haven't got any chance to go there so I would like to share some of my experiences for him.

Yeah it looks like silly to write in here, but I think it's the most comfortable place to write, to share, to tell him indirectly. I'll give him the link btw. SOO, I will go straight to the story

Actually, what makes this island famous are : the beach . Of course, everyone knows about it. Unlike Bali, some people say this island is still "virgin". It's true! The beach was not as crowd as I thought it could be. Nice to go there.

It was December 2014. I was flying to Lombok only by myself. Fortunately, my friend, Raania, picked me up in the airport so I wouldn't get lost. No doubt she is just like a light in the dark, like an angel in the hard time, like a Fata Morgana in the desert, ok let's stop it. She is very very very kind. love love for you Ran if you read it :*. I spent around six days there with Raania. Oh yes, Kirana was also there to have such a great journey with us.

My first day, Raania and I went to Senggigi Beach. It's already a little bit dirty as many people go there. It's beautiful, though.

Then the next day, we spent our time to go to Sade Village which inhabited by Sasak people (the origin tribe of Lombok people) and many beaches. Let's say Sade Village gave us some new knowledge about Indonesian's culture. They have tradition to marry with their relatives. However, I'm not sure whether it's incest or not. Their activities include farming, knitting, and many more. Here are some examples

That's all for the second day. We spent our next journey in Gili Trawangan. Gili means island in Lombok. There are 3 Gili located near each other : Gili Air, Gili Trawangan, and Gili Meno. But we only went to Gili Trawangan. This place is no doubt SO FAMOUS. Many tourists choose Gili Trawangan for spending their vacation in. For this opportunity, we decided to go snorkelling. I could see how clear the water is.

 The last destination in lombok is Mt. Rinjani! I know I haven't the chance to hike to the top of the mountain, but it's already satisfied me to go to a waterfall there. We must walk through ups and downs for almost 2 hours! It's worth it!
